Color Scripts

Now that Dirty Laundry Day is off to the festivals circuit I decided to share more of the pre-production work that went into it. This is one of the original color scripts panels done by Christina Ellis
Enjoy.

Just noticed that blogger washed out most of the colors..Sorry!

Smears

I love smear frames. Anytime I detect them, I find a way to download the material and check it frame by frame. Here are SOME of the smears I did on the short, I really needed to get them out of my system so my next material can be smear-free. Enjoy.

Color grading and color matching

While working on color grading/correction I like to take a snap shot of every finished shot and line it up to see how it fits with the rest of the shots. Here's a little taster.

The Big Huzzah

So I decided to take a full week off work to make one big last push towards the finish line.  After this week is over I will have animation, clean up, and hopefully most coloring and shading done. Composite then will be an easy task. Here's what a full day of work looks like.

Yet another Progress Chart

So finally I got to compile all the finished shots in one file to get a clearer idea of what needs to be done. It looked promising. Here is a chart of progress. Red X is canceled, Blue slash is in progress (Inking, shadowing, coloring)
Red rectangle is DONE!!!

LazyBrush is a great tool

I present with the greatest fill tool yet, The lazy Brush. If you're a TVPaint user then there's no reason why you shouldn't give this tool a go. It's helpful, solid, and very affordable. Here's a little demo:

Progress in mind mapping

Hello all,
Working solo on a project like this requires a lot of organizational skills which I'm not very well known for, so I use XMind to track of my assets and progress, and keep an eye on the bigger picture. I highly recommend it if you're working on a similar project. Here's my bigger picture so far.
